About
Todd Kiesbuy

Todd has been with Avista for 17 years. His current role as Avista’s North Idaho Regional Business Manager includes responsibilities in negotiation of electric and natural gas franchise agreements, economic development initiatives, regulatory and policy work along with participation on many strategic community boards (PACE- Partners Advancing Character Education, Coeur d’Alene Chamber, Spokane Valley Chamber, Spokane Valley Big 5 Initiative, Coeur d'Alene Economic Development Board, NRAB--Kootenai County Natural Resource Advisory Board and many Public Policy advisory groups) that involve community vitality initiatives. Previously, his responsibilities with Avista included the design and installation of natural gas and electricity to residential homes and commercial businesses as a Construction Project Coordinator. Additionally, as an Operations Business Analyst, he helped manage field crews, daily construction process, and the coordination of significant facility and process changes with the 24-hour emergency dispatch center.

Todd earned his master's and undergraduate degrees in Psychology from the University of Idaho and has lived in Coeur d’Alene for the past 40 years where he and his wife of 21 years enjoy watching their three teenage children compete in sports and taking advantage of the many outdoor activities North Idaho offers.

Joining the PAHA Board was an easy decision for Todd. As a utility provider for electric and natural gas service, Avista engages daily with the low-income population through assistance programs and he sees firsthand the struggle many customers have in meeting the challenges of affordable housing across North Idaho. PAHA provides solutions for a critical need in this community and the recent population increase has only magnified an already critical situation.
